The summer is rolling along, we are putting in our sand volleyball court next to the pool this week! Come visit us and see what we are all about! We are currently planning a Fall Auction for The Deering Center on October 13, 2007. More details to come. Save the date!

Many thanks to Pastor Ruben and his associate for joining us for our missions night and sharing with us how God has worked in building his church of the healing souls and how it is to be in the valley. Our pools are officially open to the public and available for use for families in the area. We have both daily and seasonal rates available. We do not have a life guard on duty - All children must be supervised by adults. Contact us for more details either by phone, email or click here.

The Family Youth Investment Community picnic on June 30, 2007 was a lot of fun by all who attended. Over 100 people enjoyed the picnic, fair, pools and recreation facilities at The Deering Center. Here is what they did, click to Download flier.

Many thanks to the Greenville Church of the Nazarene who came with their youth group to help us with many projects around the center! They helped us continue to accomplish many great things!

Family Youth Investment (FYI) will be co-sponsoring a community picnic with The Deering Center on June 30, 2007 from 11am -4pm. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, use our recreation areas, horse shoes, game rooms, volly ball net, pools and hiking trails. Come check out the center and meet people in your community while spending time with your family.

The work on the meeting hall (Elizabeth) is progressing. The building is suspended on cribbing and the new foundation is in and almost complete. Thanks to everyone that has helped us with this project! We will be working on the rest of the building in the coming weeks.

The meeting hall (Elizabeth) was adopted by an anonymous donor. This Donation is restricted to the meeting hall and will make the complete renovation of this building possible. Many thanks!

We have cancelled this years Celebration since we have not received many registrations.  We will begin planning next summers programming in the fall/winter 2006.

H-D elementary school had a successful Kindergarten graduation/picnic at The Deering Center on June 12, 2006. The weather was great and much fun was had by all. Click here to contact us about having your event at The Deering Center.

The pools are near completion, but we have had delays due to the recent rains. Hopefully they will be completed soon. Memberships will be available for Deering residents @ $60/year (season) and non-Deering residents @ $75/year (season). Contact us for details.
